Insufficient resources to optimally implement early therapeutic intervention programs for children
Ekam strives to build healthy communities focusing on children and mothers in impoverished communities. It takes advantage of District Early Intervention Centers (DEICs) in hospitals to ensure infants and children get timely diagnosis and treatment. However, hospitals are severely underfunded and are often unable to buy basic equipment and amenities, e.g., physical & sensory therapy equipment for developmentally disabled kids or chairs for waiting mothers.
This project will help raise funds to buy critical physical and sensory therapy equipment and chairs
The goal is to raise sufficient funds to buy minimally necessary equipment for physical and sensory therapy, and also chairs to seat forty waiting mothers. The equipment includes two therapy balls, small roll, a trampoline and a therapy mat for physical therapy; a balance board, a caterpillar tunnel and a ball pool for sensory therapy. The proposal also includes 10 three-seater chairs and 10 KMC chairs.
Addressing developmental issues as soon as diagnosed will ensure healthier lives and communities
Your donation will enable early intervention once developmental disability issues are identified, so that these issues do not become a bigger problem for the children and their families. It will also help the children psychologically and help their successful integration into the society. It takes advantage of existing DEIC program, and represents a big return from a small investment for social well-being. The chairs will greatly help provide some physical comfort to the waiting mothers.

This displays the maximum incremental additional funding the campaign could receive (Maximum Funding Amount (MFA) less Minimum Funding Goal)). For example, if the MFA is $100,000 and the MFG $10,000, it would show the difference of $90,000 here.
