Many remote communities lack awareness about health and hygiene
Many remote communities living in rural parts of India lack awareness of hygiene and importance of good nutrition. As a result, the residents including infants and children are exposed to increased risks of getting sick from preventable diseases.
Increasing awareness on nutrition and hygiene improves community health
Health awareness education empowers people to take care of themselves and their families. Ekam has organized and conducted training, workshops, and health camps to help increase awareness on importance of hygiene, sanitation, and good nutrition in improving overall health in communities. Good nurition is specially important to pregnant mothers.
Ekam will conduct camps and workshops in the rural communities to increase awareness of importance of hygiene, nutrition, and sanitation. Special medical camps and campaigns will be aimed at women to focus on problems of malnutrition and infant mortality.
We will create campaigns around issues prevalent to rural life such as anaemia, malnutrition, clean and safe drinking water, and pre- and postnatal care.
By donating to our cause, you can help create more healthy rural communities!
Ekam will use your donation to help organize health care and awareness camps for villages. Patients will be provided clinical care via health camps. As a result of this program, there will be an improvement in the quality of life of poor people and better care of patients.
