Many moms and babies are dying because of the lack of the right equipment in the labour room.
Government hospitals support the maximum number of deliveries in any district. Most of these patients are admitted at a critical stage of delivery. On average, a labour room conducts 800 deliveries per month. However, these hospitals do not have basic life saving equipment like CTG which is a technical means of recording the fetal heartbeat and the uterine contractions during pregnancy which helps in early identification of problems in moms and babies leading to prompt referral and treatment.
Early identification of complications and timely treatment of mothers/newborns.
Ekam staff will arrange for the installation of CTG equipment and for the training of labour room staff. They will also ensure that adequate maintenance checks are in place for the equipment.
By donating to our cause, you can help to lower mom/infant mortality rates in Villupuram.
Your donation will help to install CTG equipment in the government labour room, thereby reducing mom and infant mortality rates. On average, there will be about 800 beneficiaries per month and 9600 beneficiaries per year from this program.
