Girls living in poverty struggle to afford essential period products
Girls living in poverty struggle to afford essential period products to manage their menstrual hygiene. As a result, many low-income girls miss valuable days of school every month. Education rises out of poverty, and when girls are unable to fully participate in educational opportunities, their potential of breaking the cycle of poverty is diminished.
Over 65% of the girls at East High School live in families struggling to afford basic needs; including many refugee families. This project will provide period products at no cost to these girls, to enable and empower them to stay in school.
Provision of period products will keep girls in school
Access to essential period products will enable girls to participate fully in daily life, including school. By providing essentials to menstrual hygiene management at no cost, we are empowering these vulnerable populations to higher education, to rise out of poverty.
By donating as little as $10, you are help girls live to their fullest potential.
Education rises out of poverty, and when barriers to education are removed girls can stay in school. Increased attendance is possible through your generous support. Thanks for helping girls break the cycle of poverty and live to their fullest potential.
