All babies deserve to be clean, dry, and healthy.
Children belong in families. In Uganda, if a child is born with special needs, it is quite likely they will be abandoned. Families living in poverty struggle to afford basic needs, now compounded by additional care needed for children with special needs. This project will provide appropriately-sized cloth diapers for children living with their families through Ekisa Ministries Community Care Program. When we partner with families to meet basic needs, we can empower families to stay together.
“New friends are like new adventures. You never know what lessons they will teach you." - At Ekisa Academy, Jinja, Uganda

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not.” - Dr. Suess - Child at Ekisa

Cloth diapers will improve quality of life for child and caregiver
Children living with special needs deserve having their basic hygiene needs met. This project will provide 100% diaper coverage to children living with families through Ekisa Ministries Community Care program. When basic hygiene needs are met, dignity, sanitation, hygiene and quality of life are drastically improved for both child and caregiver.
By donating as little as $10, you will help children survive and thrive.
As families continue to have their diaper needs solved, they are able to save funds and plan for future improvements in their care. This can mean attedning educational programs, offering better healthcare, improved quality of food (more protein!) - all steps that set these children up to live their lives to the fullest potential.
