Protection and prevention against COVID-19 spreading into health centers in rural India
Throughout rural India, Community Health Centers (CHC) are struggling to deal with the increasing spread of COVID-19. With the majority of personal protection equipment redirected to the major hospitals, the rural healthcare workers are left shorthanded. Working on the frontlines, these workers are putting themselves at great risk just to help their community, and deserve protection against the virus.
Each CHC serves 5 Primary Health Centers (PHCs). Each PHC has around 75 healthcare workers, and hence the CHC has around 375 healthcare workers, with each PHC caring for over 40,000 individuals. The total cost of protecting each CHC worker amounts to $4 - hand sanitizer ($2), 5 soap bars ($1), 5 cotton masks (50 cents), distribution cost 50 cents.
The total cost of protecting 375 workers amounts to 375 x $4 = $1500, with the breakup as follows: Hand sanitizers = 375 x $2 = $750; Soap bars = 375 x $1 = $375; Cotton masks = 375 x $0.5 = approx. $188; Distribution cost = 375 x $0.5 = approx. $187.
Pre-made COVID-19 Prevention Kits to help protect healthcare workers from possible infected patients
Providing pre-made COVID-19 kits will allow healthcare workers to work in safer conditions. These workers are stationed in poor, rural communities and are severely underfunded. We will be supplying prevention kits to around 375 workers. Each kit will contain hand sanitizer, soap bars, and cotton masks. This will reduce transmission between workers and patients, and help protect everyone involved.
Just $4 will get a worker a full prevention kit against COVID-19
Your donation will help protect the brave community healthcare workers on the frontlines of the pandemic. Rural villages desperately rely upon these centers for Covid-19 treatment. For a $4 donation, we can get a hand sanitizer, 5 soap bars, and 5 cotton masks to a Community Health Center (CHC) Worker. It will also help provide employment to those producing the cotton masks and distributing the kits.

This displays the maximum incremental additional funding the campaign could receive (Maximum Funding Amount (MFA) less Minimum Funding Goal)). For example, if the MFA is $100,000 and the MFG $10,000, it would show the difference of $90,000 here.
