let's work together to

Provide food to impacted kids/parents to survive COVID-19

Our goal
We want to help vulnerable children and their families in India most impacted by COVID-19
The Challenge

COVID-19 has triggered food insecurity for impacted families in India at an unprecedented level

According to the UNICEF, poor and vulnerable children might well be the most hidden victims of the COVID-19 pandemic as they suffer disproportionately in any crisis. Prior to COVID-19, 32% of children with pneumonia didn't have access to healthcare. What will happen now? Health care is not even considered a basic necessity when you are starving. A parent is looking to provide food and avoid hunger every day for their kids and themselves before thinking of any other need.

Daily wage earners are the most impacted and hit by the national lock down in India. Without any significant savings, or jobs at this time, they are not able to feed their children.

Our Solution

Provide food aid and hygiene supplies to vulnerable families to help them survive the COVID crisis

India has one of the highest rates of child under-nutrition and inadequate or inconsistent access to enough safe and nutritious food to sustain a healthy life. This was before the pandemic. What will happen now in this unprecedented crisis when all of India is under lockdown?

Your Impact

By donating as little as $10, you will provide for 10 children for a whole day

Your donation will help Ekam to buy rice, vegetables, lentils, and milk for daily nutritious meals for hundreds of children and their parents in several areas. You will also help distribute soap and water and other personal hygiene products for the most vulnerable children. Every child you touch with your kind heart will be a life you will positively change forever. $21 will feed one person for 1 month.

$3,500 Minimum Funding Goal
  • 68%-To be used to buy food supply

  • 29%-Other grocery items

  • 3%-Transport/distribution cost

$1,500 Campaign Booster Funding

This displays the maximum incremental additional funding the campaign could receive (Maximum Funding Amount (MFA) less Minimum Funding Goal)). For example, if the MFA is $100,000 and the MFG $10,000, it would show the difference of $90,000 here.

  • 67%-More children fed

  • 33%-More groceries
