Many Rural village residents resort to open defecation due to lack of public toilets
India is the second most populous country in the world, with more than 1 billion citizens. Roughly half of India’s population, a staggering 522 million, practice open defecation.
The World Bank estimates that 21 percent of communicable diseases in India are linked to unsafe water and the lack of hygiene practices. Further, more than 500 children under the age of five die each day from diarrhea in India alone.
Building sustainable toilets will benefit village residents
Through your help, we will have sufficient funds to build additional toilets for village residents. By constructing multiple bathrooms, residents will get to live in a healthy and safe environment, free from infectious bacteria. We will create separate stalls for men and women and then increase the number of bathrooms.
Every dollar you donate will be put to use in the construction of bathrooms
Your donation will promote a healthy and convenient environment to residents in the rural villages having this need. Bathroom facilities are something that we often take for granted, but they are a serious need in some parts of the world. By donating to this cause, you are bringing a necessity into peoples lives as well as aiding in building a healthy world.
