COVID-19 lockdown in India is starving daily wage earners and farmers
The nationwide lock down has forced people out of jobs. Without any significant savings, the poorest people are the hardest hit. They are not even able to afford basic food needs. At the same time, farmers are unable to sell their produce, instead having to waste food and lose money. The youth are also out of school and do not have productive activities.
Providing food and essentials to migrants and daily wage workers while sustaining farmers.
Your donation will help save lives of many underserved people, migrant and daily wage workers who are out of work, and economically deprived due to lock down situation of COVID-19 in India by providing them with food and essential kits, while also sustaining farmers. Ekam has been involved in helping people during disasters and is assisting people in the current pandemic. Your support will save many lives with timely interventions.
Ekam is connecting farmers who have produce to be sold with those who need it, providing both food to the underserved and the farmers with sustainable livelihood at this critical time. Ekam also trains youth to work as volunteers to be the supply chain between the farmers and the consumers. Ekam is donating basic groceries like rice, oil, lentils, and other vegetables for each family in need, thus nourishing them physically and mentally.
Ekam continuously provides life-saving medical support to those in financial need. Ekam also focuses on healthy nutrition, health education, cleanliness, sanitation, etc. to prevent disease in people who are malnourished due to lack of enough food during COVID due to loss of jobs, etc.

Providing food will keep people healthier and happier during this tough time. Ensuring that balanced meals are provided encourages disadvantaged people to make proper decisions concerning their health in the future. Supporting with food and essential kits for migrants and daily wage workers will also give families one less thing to worry about during the current situation. Farmers are the backbone of India and need to be supported.

This displays the maximum incremental additional funding the campaign could receive (Maximum Funding Amount (MFA) less Minimum Funding Goal)). For example, if the MFA is $100,000 and the MFG $10,000, it would show the difference of $90,000 here.
